A legendary Congressman and presidential candidate reminds students at his alma mater to cast perhaps their first vote.

After serving 10 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from Southern Arizona, Mo Udall was a beloved local figure who could use a soft sell. This ad plays with Udall's history as president of the student government (ASUA) and basketball star to cover the back page of the campus newspaper at his alma mater, the University of Arizona.

Joe Gold conceved calling on Udall's personal history and charisma to shape the goodwill headline, aimed at a naturally supportive student audience for this liberal Congressman in a conservative state. He wrote the headlines and copy, excavated the 1948 archive photo, art directed and made the media buy at the Arizona Daily Wildcat.
